WBUHS issues Corrigendum in Notification of PhD Research Aptitude Test
West Bengal: Through a recent notification, West Bengal University of Health Sciences (WBUHS) has informed about the corrigendum in the Notification uploaded for PhD Research Aptitude Test 2019.
The notice exempts a specific category from qualifying in Research Aptitude Test (RAT) conducted by the University.
The corrigendum notice uploaded on the original website of WBUHS clearly states:
II) Exemption from PhD Research Aptitude Test:
The following categories are exempted from qualifying in Research Aptitude Test (RAT) conducted by the University:
Sl.No. 4 [The MPhil Degree shall be in the discipline concerned in which the applicant is seeking registration and degree should be obtained from a UGC recognized institution / University As stated above I)1)c)] is deleted.
Note: - 1. Sl.No.4 is already included in the Eligibility and Relaxation of Marks as stated in the notification.
2. Sl. No.1, 2 & 3 is unchanged and applicable for all.
The process of online Application shall commence on 9th February 2019 onwards and will continue till 24th February 2019, 05.00 PM. Candidates shall carry out their research under approved research supervisor in the affiliated postgraduate institutes or in a research centre duly approved by the University.

II) EXEMPTION FROM RESEARCH APTITUDE TEST:
Candidates for the PhD program shall be granted registration through an Entrance test conducted by the University.
The following categories are exempted from qualifying Research Aptitude Test (RAT) conducted by the University.
1) Those students who qualify UGC-NET/JRF, UGC-CSIR-NET/JRF, SLET, and Research Fellowships of
Central or State Government Departments/Agencies as approved by the regulatory bodies, as the case may be.
2) Candidates with DST-INSPIRE fellowship.
3) Candidates with DBT/JRF.
4) The MPhil Degree shall be in the discipline concerned in which the applicant is seeking registration and degree should be obtained from a UGC recognized institution / University.
Note:
*MPhil Degree holders seeking registration for PhD shall be required to qualify Research Aptitude Test (RAT) in case registration is sought in a different discipline other than that specialized at PG / MPhil Degree levels respectively.
*For candidates pursuing PhD Program, there is no scholarship/grant or any other pecuniary support from the University.
