Uttar Pradesh: SN Medical College medicine stock to be monitored by the DGME office
Agra: Monitoring of medicine stocks from the office of the Director General of Medical Education, Lucknow, is in the offing and will soon be implemented with the launch of a new software by S N Medical College on its premises.
The idea behind the introduction of this software on the part of the government is to keep a tab on stocks purchased by the college administration, its distribution nexus and the availability status. The move is aimed at keeping a tab on the drug distribution in the hospital, which complains of regular short supply of medicines. The software is likely to be put in place within a month's time.
SNMC Principal, Dr Saroj Singh told TOI, "We are developing the software now. Once the system is introduced, the stock details of medicines will be accessible online anytime."
According to a senior SNMC official under the new system, the DGME, Chief Medical Officer and District Magistrate would be able to keep stock of medicines.
