Uttar Pradesh: KGMU convocation on January 29
Lucknow: Graduating students of King George's Medical University (KGMU) will be attending their convocation on January 29 from 2pm onwards as announced by the university authorities. The chief gusts name has yet to be announced as the university awaits a formal written consent from him, said Prof Ravi Kant, vice chancellor, KGMU.
The names of the Honoris Causa awardees have already been announced by the university on its 112th Foundation day celebrations on December 24.
The university’s DSc Honoris Causa degrees will be awarded to the following: Prof Yuman Fong (US), Prof Gaeme Poston (UK) and Prof Trilok Chandra Goel, Emeritus professor of surgery at the convocation ceremony.
MBBS graduates Avinash D Gautam with a total of 14 medals will be getting the coveted Chancellor's gold and Mohammad Tabish with total 10 medals, the Hewett gold medal, on the day as reported by the TOI.
