Uttar Pradesh: An accident kills a JN Medical College MS Surgery student
Agra: Ishu Varshney, a JN Medical College, Aligarh student doing her masters in Surgery was killed instantaneously on her way to college when her two-wheeler was hit by a bus at Subhash Chowk on Friday morning
The bus which took her life belonged to Maheshwari Nursing Institute. The accident took place at 8.30am in the morning said the police. It is believed that the bus hit Ishu while she was trying to take a turn. The bus driver ran for life, leaving the vehicle behind.
A case has been registered under sections 279 (rash driving), 338 (Causing grievous hurt by act endangering life), 304 A (causing death by negligence) of IPC informed SSP Rajesh Pandey. He said her body has been sent for post-mortem.
Medical Superintendent, JN Medical College, Prof Haris Manzoor Khan told the TOI that the accident victim was brought dead to the hospital. Ishu Varshney, he said was working as a junior resident in the Pediatric surgery department.
