UPCPMT 2016 Exam dates released
Dr Ram Manohar Lohia Avadh University, Faizabad has released the exam dates for Uttar Pradesh Combined Pre-Medical Test (UPCPMT) 2016. The exam will be held on May 17, 2016.
The exam is conducting for the various courses as, Medical/ Dental/ Homepathic/ Ayurvedic/ Unani colleges of UP in courses such as Bachelor of Medicine Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS), Bachelor of Dental Surgery (BDS), Bachelor of Homoeopathic Medicine and Surgery (BHMS), Bachelor of Ayurvedic Medicine and Surgery (BAMS) and Bachelor of Unani Medicine and Surgery (BUMS).

Candidates should have qualified:
The higher secondary examination or the Indian school certificate examination which is equivalent to 10+2 higher secondary examination after a period of 12 years study, the last two years of study comprising physics, chemistry, biology/Bio-Technology and mathematics or any other elective subject with English at a level.
Or
The intermediate examination in science of an Indian university, board or other recognised examination body with physics, chemistry and biology/Bio-Technology, including a practical test in these subjects and also English as a compulsory subject.
Or
The pre-professional/pre-medical examination with physics, chemistry and biology/Bio-Technology, after passing either the higher secondary school examination or the pre-university of an equivalent examination, which includes a practical test in physics, chemistry and biology/Bio-Technology and also English as a compulsory subject.
Application Process:
Eligible candidates have to apply in the prescribed format online, by visiting the official website, the link for which is www.cpmtup2016.org.
Selection procedure:
Selection for admission to the various first year courses will be made by evaluating a candidate's performance in the written test.
Application fee:
Candidates belonging to general and OBC categories have to pay sum of Rs 1400/- as application fee, while for SC/ST candidates the amount is Rs 700/-.
Paper Pattern:
The duration of CPMT 2016 will be of three hours.
CPMT 2016 will be an offline pen and paper test.
It consists of one paper, containing 200 objective type questions from physics, chemistry, Botany and Zoology; 50 questions from each subject.
The question paper of CPMT 2016 shall be based on the syllabus of intermediate (Science) of UP Board.
