UP govt assures reservation facilities in appointments of Medical College Teachers
Lucknow: Uttar Pradesh government assured the agitated opposition Samajwadi Party and Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) members that government was committed to give reservation facilities to the Dalits and backwards in the appointment of teachers and others in the state medical colleges, which had been ignored due to roster system.
The opposition-- SP and BSP members were on their toes over the issue when the state assembly on Friday morning assembled for the day but cooperated with the chair for the question hour.
Later in the zero hours, leader of the opposition Ram Govind Choudhury again raised the issue alleging that BJP government was hatching a conspiracy to deny reservation in the appointment of teachers and other government employees and thus violating the Constitutional norms.
