MUHS asks its medical colleges to submit proposals for starting new courses, increase in MBBS, PG Medical seats
Nashik: Through a recent notice, the Maharashtra University of Health Sciences (MUHS) has asked its medical colleges to submit their proposals for opening of New College in Health Sciences, starting of New Post Graduate Courses and increase in Intake Capacity for Under Graduate and Post Graduate courses from Academic Year 2021-22
The varsity has stated that the Management who desire to Open New college in Health Sciences and also to Start New Post Graduate courses from the Academic Year 2021-22 & the affiliated colleges who desire to Increase the Intake Capacity for U.G. & P.G. courses from the Academic Year 2021-22, to submit their proposals to The Registrar, Maharashtra University of Health Sciences, Nashik, between 29 February 2020 to 31st October 2020 during the office hours in person only.
This is being done as per letter dated 15/06/2018 of Ministry of Ayush, Govt. of India, New Delhi, except proposals for the new opening of the college, U.G. Courses of Ayurved, Unani & Homoeopathy faculty and as per section 64(3) of MUHS Act 1998, should submit their proposals in three copies in prescribed format along with requisite fee. The fee should be paid in the form of demand draft of a Nationalized Bank / NEFT / RTGS / University E-payment Gateway drawn in favour of "The Registrar, MUHS Nashik" and payable at Nashik.
The Proposal form should be submitted complete in all respect along with the documents as mentioned in the checklist. Incomplete applications will be summarily rejected and the Proposals received after 31st October 2020 will not be accepted. The Proposals received by Post / Courier will not be accepted.

Institutions / Colleges those who had already applied in previous academic year for opening of New Colleges / Starting of New Post Graduate Courses / Increase in Intake Capacity, but could not obtain Essentiality / No Objection Certificate / Government Resolution (As applicable) from Maharashtra GoSvernment for that particular Academic Year, should apply every year for revalidation of the proposal by paying revalidation fee as prescribed in Affiliation fee Notification Such proposals can be revalidated up to 5 Academic Years (i.e. 6 years from the date of recommendation of proposal to the State Government.) After 6 years such proposals will be treated as closed and such institutes will have to apply a fresh along with prescribed fee.
. Those Institutions / Colleges who have received Consent of Affiliation of University in previous academic year for opening of New College / starting new PG courses / Increase in intake capacity (UG & PG), but could not obtain Letter of Permission (LOP) from Central Government within 1 year from the date of its issuance, should apply for Extension of Consent of Affiliation by paying fee as prescribed in Affiliation fee Notification. However those C:-Users-HOD COMP-Desktop-For Download-Notification.doc 4 institutions / colleges who have not received Permission from Central Government within 10 years from the date of recommendations of proposal to the State Government, then that proposal will be treated as closed and such institute / college will have to apply a fresh with prescribed fee.
. If the proposal is Not Recommended to the State Govt. by the University, fee will be refunded as follow:-
(i) If Institute / College claim the refund within 3 years from the date of the issuance of the letter by which the Non-recommendation is intimated, 50% of the amount of the deposited fee will be refunded.
(ii) If Institute / College claim the refund after 3 years but before five years from the date of the issuance of the letter by which the Non-recommendation is intimated, 30% of the amount of the deposited fee will be refunded.
(iii) If Institute / College claim the refund after 5 years from the date of the issuance of the letter by which the Non-recommendation is intimated, No Refund will be permissible

Note :. It may please be noted that, the proposal for opening of new colleges should be as per the existing Perspective Plan of MUHS.
