    Tamil Nadu: Special Transfer Counselling for Faculties at Karur Medical College and Hospital

    Tamil Nadu: Special Transfer Counselling for Faculties at Karur Medical College and Hospital

    Tamil Nadu: In a bid to ensure adequate medical faculty is available at the Karur medical college, the state government is going to hold a special transfer counselling on 7th December 2018.


    A notice to this effect is available on the Tamil Nadu DME website.


    As per the notice, certain new posts of Professors and Associate Professors in various specialities sanctioned to Government Karur Medical College and Hospital, Karur.




    The Government in their G.O. second cited among others have newly created following posts in the cadre of Professor and Associate Professor in various specialities to Government Karur Medical College and Hospital, Karur.


    It is proposed to conduct special transfer counselling for filling up of the newly sanctioned Professor and Associate Professor posts to Government Karur Medical College and Hospital, Karur. Therefore the Deans and Heads of Institutions under the control of this Directorate are informed that the Special Transfer counselling for the post of Professor and Associate Professor mentioned in para 1 above is scheduled on 07.12.2018 (Friday).



    The notice further added certain general instructions to be kept in mind For the Special Transfer Counseling scheduled on 07.12.2018 at the Office of the Director of Medical Education for filling up of those new posts.

    The Proforma for the Special Transfer counselling is enclosed herewith. The Heads of Medical Institutions are requested to communicate the same to the Medical Officers in the cadre of Professor and Associate Professor without fail.


    Further, they are informed that


     Guidelines issued in G.O. (2D) No. 131, Health and Family Welfare (A1) Department, - dated 20.11.2007 will be followed for conducting special transfer counselling.


     The Transfer counselling format shall be communicated to the Medical officers in the cadre of Associate Professor and Professor working under their control.


     The Head of the Institution has to prepare the proforma as on date and to vouch for its bonafide. One copy of the certified Proforma particulars (as per the enclosed Format —1) and complete service particulars (as per the enclosed Format — II) has to be handed over to the Medical Officer concerned who is attending the transfer counselling and another copy should be sent to this Directorate before 5 00 p.m on 05.12.2018 positively.


    Only those Medical Officers with proforma and complete Service particulars duly forwarded by Dean / Head of the Institutions will be considered for attending Transfer counselling.


     The format necessarily needs to be signed by the Medical Officer and shall be certified for its veracity by the personnel of the Office (Assistant, OfficeSuperintendent, junior administrative Officer/Administrative Officer) and by the Dean of the college / Head of the Institution concerned.


     It is informed that furnishing wrong information in the Format / Service Particulars will be viewed seriously and hence utmost care shall be exercised while preparing the same.


    Medical Officers in the Associate Professor and Professor cadre working under the control of this Directorate alone are eligible to attend the counselling.


     The Medical Officers who are opting for posting in Government Karur Medical College should give an undertaking that they will work for a minimum period of one year from the date of joining in government Karur medical college/ hospital and that they are not eligible to attend transfer counselling for one year.


     The said Special transfer counselling is scheduled to begin on 07.12.2018 at 10.00 AM in the office of the Director of Medical Education, Kilpauk, Chennai.


     They should report at this Directorate one hour before the scheduled time (i.e 9.00 AM).
