    Tamil Nadu: Annamalai University invites applications for admission to medical courses

    Tamil Nadu: Annamalai University invites applications for admission to medical courses

    Tamil Nadu: Aspirants seeking admissions to medical courses in Annamalai University can now submit their applications. Candidates can seek admission details on the university website www. annamalaiuniversity.ac.in. They can also reach on the helpline number for more information. The helpline numbers are 04144-238348 and 238349 or write to auadmission2016@gmail.com.


    Annamalai University had earlier invited applications for admissions to medical courses which include 150 MBBS seats and 80 BDS seats. 4,906 aspirants applied for the MBBS course at the university and another 1,079 applications for BDS. Out of which, 276 applicants MBBS received rejection and another 52 applicants received rejection for BDS.


    Random number has been assigned to the applicants for MBBS and BDS by Vice-Chancellor S. Manian on June 27, as reported in the press. These random numbers allotted can be checked on the university website.


    Counselling date are also expected to be announced soon, which will be intimated to the aspirants. Students seeking admission to the university will be admitted only on the basis of merit under the rule of state government.


    Close to 3 per cent seats out of the total are provisioned under differently-abled people reservation category.


    The merit list is expected to be created basis the marks secured by students in relevant subjects. These are the marks scored in H.S.C or equivalent examinations.


    Eligible candidates will be allowed to attend the counseling session after they download the call letters. This information will also be made available on the university website. Counselling schedule is expected to be shared on July 1 on the university website. It is important to note that no call letter on counselling will be further sent to the aspirants.
