NEET PG 2020: UP DGME republishes MCC order on state counselling
Lucknow: With the PG medical admission process being halted across the country due to ongoing coronavirus outbreak, the the Directorate of Medical Education and Training Uttar Pradesh (UP DGME) which has also rescheduled the counselling, has issued an official notification by republishing the MCC order.
Medical Dialogues had earlier reported that the Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) incharge of conducting AIQ sounselling for NEET PG 2020 and NEET MDS 2020 had directed all the state counselling authorities to halt the PG medical admission process amidst the coronavirus (COVID 19) outbreak till further orders.
The MCC had clearly stated, "As you are aware that in view of ongoing COVID- 19 outbreak and in compliance with the advisory issued by the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Government of India, the All India counseling has been postponed till further orders. As per the MCI Gazette and as per the Hon'ble Supreme Court directions the counseling runs in tandem with the State Counselling. Since the All India counseling has been postponed till further orders, it is advised to State Counselling authorities to postpone their State counseling as well so that the Hon'ble Supreme Court orders can be complied with and also the students and their parents are not exposed inadvertently to any Corona positive person."
For announcement w.r.t the schedule and for the resumption of All India and State counseling please stay in touch with MCC and intramcc website (www.mcc.nic.in, www.intramcc.nic . in). In the meanwhile, the states' counselling bodies are requested to follow the Guidelines of the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, GOI.
The MCC had released the new counselling schedule for the round one whereb the Reporting Phase Round-I of MCC PG Counselling has been postponed till further orders. Similarly round 2 and round 3 have also been postponed
