TN Health issues notice for candidates seeking MD, MS, MDS admission 2020-21
Chennai: Through a recent notice, the Directorate of Medical Education and Selection Committee (TN Health Tamil Nadu) has informed about the postponement of the PG Medical and dental admission process in the state in view of the ongoing coronavirus (COVID) outbreak.
The candidates who are seeking admission to PG Degree/Diploma/MDS courses in Tamilnadu Government (Medical /Dental) colleges ,Govt. quota and Management quota (including NRI) seats in Self financing (Medical /Dental) Colleges and Rajah Muthiah (Annamalai University) (Medical /Dental) Colleges can view the said notice details mentioned below:
"As Lock down imposed by the Government of India due to unforeseen circumstances , It is informed to the candidates who are seeking admission to the PG Degree/Diploma/MDS courses in courses in Tamilnadu Government (Medical /Dental) colleges ,Govt. quota and Management quota(including NRI) seats in Self-financing (Medical /Dental) Colleges and Rajah Muthiah (Annamalai University) (Medical /Dental) Colleges the publication of Rank list and counselling for admission to PG/MDS courses 2020-2021 session stands postponed till further orders."

Earlier, MCC had directed all the states to halt the PG medical admission process considering the current scenario due to coronavirus epidemic.
The MCC has clearly stated, "As you are aware that in view of ongoing COVID- 19 outbreak and in compliance with the advisory issued by the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Government of India, the All India counseling has been postponed till further orders. As per the MCI Gazette and as per the Hon'ble Supreme Court directions the counseling runs in tandem with the State Counselling. Since the All India counseling has been postponed till further orders, it is advised to State Counselling authorities to postpone their State counseling as well so that the Hon'ble Supreme Court orders can be complied with and also the students and their parents are not exposed inadvertently to any Corona positive person."
