SKIMS Faculty Forum demands upgradation of facilities
Srinagar: A 4-member delegation of the Executive Council of Faculty Forum of S K Institute of Medical Sciences (SKIMS) met Governor N N Vohra and demanded upgradation of Research, Academic and Faculty; programmes required to be implemented in the interest of patient care.
A Public Relation Officer (PRO) of Raj Bhavan said the four-member delegation led by Professor Sameer H Naqash met the Governor at the Raj Bhavan on Monday.
“The Forum briefed the Governor about various demands relating to the upgradation of Research, Academic and Faculty; programmes required to be implemented in the interest of patient care and institutional development; and need for restoring SKIMS’s autonomy,” he said.
The Governor observed that the Governing Body of SKIMS shall take decisions for advancing the growth and development of both SKIMS Hospital and SKIMS Deemed University and urged the Doctors to develop their initiative at par with the institutions of National Excellence, like AIIMS New Delhi.
