Single Entrance Exam for DM, Mch and DNB SS course: National Board of Examinations
No More Separate Exams- DNB CET SS, FET to be SUBSUMED into NEET-SS, informed National Board of Examinations
New Delhi: Attention Super-speciality Aspirants!! From now on admissions to Super Speciality medical courses in the country namely, DM, Mch and DNB SS are now going to be through a single entry point as the National Board of Examinations, the authority entrusted with conducting the entrance exams for the same has announced the merging of all the examinations into one.
Through a recent notice, National Board of Examinations has informed DNB-CETSS and FET from now on are going to be subsumed into NEET-SS. The notice states that:
NBE has been conducting DNB-CET SS in December /January every year for admission to DNB Super Specialty courses.
NBE also conducts NEET-SS which is the single entrance examination for admission to all DM/MCh courses in the country.
It has been decided that from the admission year 2019, the merit list of NEET-SS shall be utilized for filling of DNB Super speciality seats also besides DM/MCh seats. Accordingly, NBE shall not be conducting DNB-CETSS henceforth.
Applicant candidates may note that NBE shall not be conducting DNB-CETSS in December 2018 /January 2019.
Likewise, NBE shall not be conducting FET henceforth which is the entrance examination for admission to NBE Fellowship courses. The merit list of NEET-SS shall also be utilized for admission to NBE Fellowship courses.
