Salary hike contractual faculty in Medical colleges in Odisha
Bhubaneswar: Odisha government hiked the monthly salary of Professors, Associate Professors and Assistant Professors working in government-run medical colleges on contract basis.
State Health and Family Welfare Minister Pratap Jena said the salary was hiked after it was approved by Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik.
As per the decision the monthly salary of the professors was increased from the existing Rs 90,000 to Rs 1.
25 lakh, that of associate professors from Rs 75,000 to Rs one lakh and from Rs 60,000 to Rs 75,000 for the assistant professors appointed on contract basis.
The government also decided to hike the salary of the professors, associate professors and the assistant professors by three percent per annum if their work was found satisfactory.
Three medical colleges are coming up at Balangir, Balasore and Puri.
