RKDF Medical College: 150 MBBS students demonstrate calling for shift

Bhopal: 150 MBBS students of RKDF University demonstrated in protest, asking for a shift to other colleges of the state as ordered by the Apex Court after it cancelled the batch admissions. This was done due to the irregularities prevailing in the admission process at the hands of the management.
The students said that despite court orders the Directorate of Medical Education (DME) had failed to arrange seats in other medical colleges for these students. According to them when they met the Principal Secretary, Medical Education Radheshyam Julania, regarding the shift he refused to take action.
“Our future is really at a stake as we are not getting shifted to any other medical college. It has been a month but authorities are not taking decision for our studies,” Vedant Vyas, MBBS student RKDF told Hitavada. He further said 150 students were suffering from no fault of theirs.
According to a student, PS Julania said there were no vacancies, therefore, nothing could be done on the matter; though he reassured that proposal to the Medical Council of India (MCI) for further seat arrangement had been sent.
According to information since the 4th renewal of permission to the RKDF Medical College, Bhopal for the academic Year 2017-18 had not been granted by the Council, the admission of the 4th batch of 150 MBBS students for the academic year 2017-18 had to be cancelled.
The college authorities were hence directed to discharge all the students admitted for the academic year 2017-18 immediately, as per the directives of the Supreme Court and submit compliance within a week from the date of dispatch of the order; failing compliance necessary action would be taken in the matter the order stated reports Hitavada.
