Redressal cell on campus- demand AIIMS Bhopal Medicos
Bhopal: The death of Rashmi Yadav(21), who had joined AIIMS jodhpur just recently and committed suicide due to the alleged misbehavior on the part of a faculty member, has led the students of the All India Institute of Medical Sciences, Bhopal demand the setting up of a grievance 'Redressal Cell' on campus for aggrieved students.
Medical Dialogues team had earlier reported about Rashmi Yadav (20), domiciled at Alwar had been admitted to the AII India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), Jodhpur, on July 23. She was found hanging in her hostel room on 26th July. In her suicide note, she spoke of the bad behavior meted out to her by a faculty member. The fourth suicide case at AIIMS, Jodhpur in four years, has led to students expressing shock.

Highlighting the issue of her death Dr Guru Prasad, Students' Union ex-president at AIIMS Bhopal called for an impartial probe into the suicide. The medical students in Bhopal had taken out a candle march on Sunday evening.
Emphasizing on the need of campus grievance redressal of students, Prasad revealed that they were demanding to develop a system at AIIMS or setting up of a cell on campus, where the students could discuss issues confronting them. "We had raised the issue of freedom of speech just a couple of month ago, as the voices of students were suppressed in absence of Director in AIIMS here," said Prasad.
With Dr Sarman Singh having joined as permanent Director, the situation seems to have improved and the students are demanding a redressal cell here at AIIMS. 'A place where aggrieved students could voice his/her grievance and get redressal, he added to the FPJ.
