Puducherry: JIPMER releases date for admission

Puducherry: The admission details to the Medical Doctor (MD) / Mater of Science (M.S) programmes for the academic year 2016 in the Jawaharlal Institute of Postgraduate Medical Education and Research (JIPMER), Puducherry has now been released.

The eligible candidates are required to visit www.jipmer.edu.in for further information of application procedure. After filling in the form (based on the submission criteria) the form has to be submitted online only. Last date for submission is April 20.

Application Fee can be paid online which is Rs, 1200/- or equivalent for sponsored candidates (Rs. 800/- for SC/ST applicants). The payment can be made through credit card/ debit card/ net banking. Please note that OPH Candidates are exempted from paying fees.

Eligibility criteria:

Candidates applying must have a Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS), or its equivalent qualification, from a university recognised by the Medical Council of India (MCI).

Applicants who have either completed, or are in the process of completing, one year rotatory internship training on or before May 30, 2016 are eligible to apply.

It is a must for all candidates to be registered with the Central/State Medical Registration Council

Date of entrance examination: May 15
Expected date of publication of Merit list : May 25 by 9 pm
