    Puducherry: 2 Medical Colleges reduce fees for Non Clinical courses

    Puducherry: Noticing the MD (non-clinical) seats going vacant, two medical colleges in Puducherry has reduced their annual tuition fees for the academic year of 2019-2020.


    The confirmation to this effect comes via a notification uploaded on the official website of Centralised Admission Committee Puducherry (CENTAC), the exam body which is conducting the counselling for PG medical and dental courses for medical and dental colleges across the state of Puducherry.


    The medical colleges which have reduced their fees for non-clinical courses this year are Pondicherry Institute of Medical Sciences (PIMS) and Sri Manakula Vinayagar Medical College and Hospital.

    At PIMS, there are a total of 21 seats vacant with Anatomy (02), Physiology (04), Biochemistry (02)' Microbiology (04)' Pathology (02)' Pharmacology (02)' -Forensic Medicine (02) and Community Medicine (03).

    The Annual Tuition fees have been reduced (compared to the Fee Fixed by the Fee Committee) for filing the vacant PG (MD/MS) seats at PIMS for 2019-20. This is applicable for both the state Govt' Quota and Management Quota category candidates.
