Probe Committee's report on alleged admission irregularities yet to be submitted
A three-member probe committee constituted by the Gujarat University(GU) in February, to look into medical admission irregularities at BJ Medical College, has yet to submit its report. The committee has crossed its 15-day deadline.
The committee was formed to probe accusations made in a complaint regarding the alleged admissions granted to three students, including the daughter-in-law of the Dean, B J Medical College, Bharat Shah. It was alleged that they were granted admissions in the postgraduate (PG) medical course without following norms.
On the basis of the complaint, the GU had formed the probe panel of three members which was to look into the allegations, and if proven to be true, throw the students out of the college, reported TOI.
Only 1 meeting of the committee has been held till now.
