    PG Medical Counselling 2019: WBUHS issues notice regarding publication of Round 2 seat matrix, Details

    West Bengal: The West Bengal University of Health Sciences (WBUHS) has postponed the Publication Of Seat Matrix Round-2. NEET PG Counselling 2019.


    The information to this effect comes via a recent notification uploaded on the official website of WBUHS which clearly states, "Due to unavoidable circumstances, the publication of seat matrix (round - 2) is postponed until further order."


    Earlier the Medical Dialogues reported about the Schedule of Round 2 Counselling by WBUHS; Details are as follows:


    Candidates who are vying to pursue PG medical courses from the university-affiliated medical colleges can now update themselves with the Round 2 Counselling schedule.




    • Publication of eligible candidates lists:- 20th April 2019.

    • Publication of seat matrix:- 23rd April 2019.

    • Choice filling:- 24th April to 25th April 2019 till 10:00 AM (Server time)

    • Publication of Result:-26th April 2019.

    • The dates of release from the admitted institute in round 1 and admission to the allotted institutes in Round 2 will be notified soon.



    Eligibility criteria for West Bengal State quota seats in PG Medical/Dental 2019:-


    State Government vide its Memo no HF/O/MERT/570/2H-06/14 dated 12,2014 and subsequent vide no. HF/0/MERT/1588/2H-06/14 dated 04.12.2014 and in pursuance of the order of Hon’ble Calcutta High Court vide WP no 32902 of 2015 dated 15.1.2015 defined the eligibility criteria for applying as ”Open Category candidates” for State Quota sêats. Those candidates who are enrolled in the NEET PG 2019/NEET MDS 2019 application as either have passed MBBS/BDS from the State of West Bengal respectively ar have stated that permanent residence state 1s West Bengal will only be considered as Open category candidates for State quota seats provided the relevant documents .of the respective candidates .are found to be appropriate during physical verification


    Any Open category Candidate who has been already pursuing PG Degree or PG Diploma or any other course in any Institution/ college under any University is not eligible for taking part in counselling unless the course training period ends latest by 30.04.2019 and she/he is free from all encumbrances from the execution of indemnity bond by 30.04.2019. The Open Category Candidate after completion of PG Degree or Diploma course must render service In this state for a period as decided by the Dept of Health and Family Welfare, Govt of WB.
