PG medical admissions in Puducherry: CENTAC releases Vacancy details for Round 2 counselling

Puducherry: The Centralised Admission Committee (CENTAC), Puducherry has published the vacancy details for the PG medical government quota seats and management quota seats for Round 2 counselling session.

The information to this effect comes via a recent notification uploaded on the official website of CENTAC, which clearly states:

Vacancy details for the 2nd round

The vacancy details for the PG Medical Govt. Quota seats and Management Quota seats are published on the website (www.centacpuducherry.in) The vacancy details of Minority (Management) Quota seats will be published separately.

The registration fee for the 2nd round

Candidates who have already registered have to pay the registration fee for the 2nd round as per guidelines as below:

(a) Govt. Quota Rs.25,000/- ( Rs. 1 2,500 / - for SC/ Sr /OBC/EBC/M BC/BCM )

(b) Management Quota Rs.2,00,000/-

NOTE:

UT of Puducherry candidates who opt for both Govt. Quota and Management Quota seats must pay Rs.2,00,000/-
Only those students who pay the fee as noted above will be considered for the 2nd round.

Forfeiture of Registration Fee:

Candidates should note that if they are allotted the seat in the 2nd round and fail to join the allotted seat, then the registration fee paid will be forfeited. The fee will be refunded to the candidates who are not allotted any seats.

Mode of Counselling:

For Management Quota seats online counselling will be done and accordingly candidates should update the preferences for the 2nd round.

Candidates need to enter preferences again for the 2nd round as the preferences entered for the 1st round have been removed. Candidates can enter preferences from 17th to 20th April 2019 (up to 5:00 pm)

For Government Quota PG Medical seats Manual Counselling will be done on 22nd April 2019 from 10:00 am onwards.

Candidates opting for Management Quota seats may transfer the amount to the CENTAC account mentioned below by RTGS / NEFT.

Candidates seeking to participate for Government Quota may bring the DD for Rs.25,000/- or Rs.12,500/- as the case may be on the day of counselling or transfer the amount by RTGS/NEFT to the above account.

All candidates who are already registered with CENTAC are only eligible for 2nd round counselling on payment of fee as indicated above.
