    PG Medical Admissions 2019: Maha Cet Cell Releases Schedule for Online registration, Document Verification; Details

    Maharashtra: In view of the lowered cut-off Percentile of NEET PG 2019, the Maharashtra State Common Entrance Test Cell (Maha CET Cell) has published the extended schedule for Online registration and Document Verification for PG medical admissions.

    Candidates who are vying for admission to PG medical courses in Maharashtra Medical colleges can check out the schedule.

    Medical Dialogues had earlier reported that the qualifying criteria have been no taken to 44 percentile for general category candidates, 39 percentile for Persons with Disabilities category and 34 percentile for SC/ST/OBC category candidates. Marks so lowered by the Central Government are applicable for the academic year 2019-20 only.
    With this the revised cut-off score for the general candidates has been reduced to 313, for SC/ST/OBC candidates, it has been reduced to 270 whereas, for Persons with Disability, the revised score has been reduced to 291.

    The window of Online Registration/Application will be closed on 12/05/2019 at 5.00pm. No offline application will be accepted for the further process of admission. Candidates are required to fill the form well in advance to avoid last minute rush. They should not wait till the last date to fill the required information form. Any delay due to electricity failure or due to any other technical fault will not be considered by the STATE CET CELL. The separate Brochure for admission to Medical Institutions has been made available on the website i.e. w ww.mahacet.org.

    Candidate should see the Instructions/ Notifications on the website for further admission process. No separate or individual intimation is sent to any candidate at any time until the end of the admission process.

    The cut-off date of Eligibility: The eligibility of the candidates shall be determined and/or decided for all purposes for applicability of all the rules and regulation by considering the last date of Physical Document Verification as the cut-off date. It is made abundantly clear that if a candidate is found ineligible such a candidate will not be made eligible after the cut-off date.

    All registered/eligible candidates supposed to upload all required documents between 11/05/2019 to 12/05/2019 up to 5.00 pm for Postgraduate Medical Admissions. The centre available for scrutiny and verification of the documents is at Indian Educational Society School, Raja Shivaji Vidyasankul, Gate No.2, Hindu Colony, Dadar East, Mumbai 400014 only. If any deficiency or discrepancies in uploaded documents is noticed, then such candidates will be informed by E-mail/SMS for further submission of required documents/ Certificates. For Physical Verification of documents, all registered candidates must visit the Document Verification Center.

    They must carry all required and uploaded Original Documents for Physical Verification. Final eligibility of the candidate will be ascertained during the aforesaid Document Verification Process. If any candidates fail to report for Document Verification Process within the prescribed schedule, then he/she will not be held eligible for the entire admission process of Academic Year 2019-20.

    Document Verification of NRI & In-service Candidates:

    The Document Verification of NRI & In-service Candidates will be held on 14/05/2019 between 10.00 am to 5.00 pm at Admissions Regulating Authority, 9th Floor, New Excelsior Building, A.K.Nayak Marg, Fort, Mumbai 400 001.

    Instruction to Person with Disability Candidates (PWD):

    Those candidates who have marked/claimed as a PWD candidate in the online application, he/she has to upload/submit Certificate of Disability at the time of registration as per the format published by Directorate General of Health Sciences (DGHS), New Delhi from following medical boards.

    • Vardhman Mahavir Medical College and Safdarjang Hospital, New Delhi - 110 029
    • All India Institute of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation, Hazi Ali, Mumbai- 400032.
    • Institute of Post Graduate Medical Education & Research, Kolkata - 700
    • Madras Medical College, Park Town, Chennai - 600
    • Grant Government Medical College, J. Hospital Compound, Byculla, Mumbai - 400 008 (Subject to Approval from DGHS, New Delhi)

    Besides this, all necessary documents like Caste Certificate, Cast Validity Certificate, Non-Creamy Layer Certificate, PWD, Orphan Certificate, Eligibility Certificate for EWS Category and NRI Documents has to be uploaded/submitted at the time of registration process. The candidate who fails to upload such certificate will not be granted respective Category/Special reservation status in Final General Merit List.

    It is mandatory for all applicants to attend the Document Verification Program. If a candidate remains absent for the Document Verification as per the schedule has given above, his/her name will be deleted from the list of applicants and he/she will not be considered for further admission process.

    Note:-

    • The Candidate who have already registered need not
    • The candidate who have already registered and found to be not eligible during the previous Document Verification Process and could not fill preferences, such candidates have now become eligible due to revised minimum qualifying criteria are permitted to Re-Register as per schedule by paying requisite
    • The candidate having qualifying criteria of NEET-PG-2019 but could not be registered previously, such candidates are permitted to register as per schedule by paying requisite
    • The eligible newly registered candidate's names will be added in the previously published General Merit List of NEET-PG-2019. This revised combined merit list will be operated for the selection process in subsequent MOP UP round(s).
    • The aforesaid registered candidates should note that they will be selected against the available vacant seat during MOP UP round

    Candidate should note that no Proxy will be allowed at the time of Physical Documents Verification Process.
