Patanjali Ayurved College directed to refund excess fee to students

Haridwar: Pulling up Patanjali Ayurved College, Haridwar for charging Rs 2.15 lakh to the students instead of Rs 80,000 pa, the Uttarakhand High court has now given a deadline to the college to return the excess fee amount to the students within eight weeks time.

The order came after the students of Patanjali Ayurved College, Haridwar, filed a contempt petition against the college, as the college did not abide by the earlier court orders of returning the fees

The students before the court alleged that Patanjali Ayurved College, Haridwar charged Rs 2.15 lakh to the students instead of Rs 80,000. The students of the college filed the matter with the high court after which the court ordered the college to return the additional charges to the students. Tribune reports that the ayurved college even after the order of the high court did not return the fees to the students.

Recently, around 24 students of the college filed a contempt petition in the high court pointing that college had not followed the orders of the high court.

As per the recent media reports, in the latest hearing of the case, judge Manoj Kumar Tiwari again commanded the college to return the additional charges to the students within the eight weeks.
