Odisha:Patnaik lays medical college foundation stone at Bangabari
Bhavanipatna: Naveen Patnaik, the Odisha Chief Minister laid the foundation stone of a medical college at Bangabari in backward Kalahandi district of the state on Wednesday. The college is to be partly financed by the Vedanta group.
Mr. Patnaik addressing the gathering expressed his gratitude to the Vedanta Foundation for the financial support extended by it for the infra structure of the medical college. He said the upcoming institute will help improve healthcare standards in the district.
“ We are working towards bringing Kalahandi at par with other districts of the state. My government is working sincerely for the backward regions and poor people. We have asked the union government for special funding for the development of tribal areas,” said Mr. Patnaik. He revealed that the project would to be completed by 2017-18.
