Odisha: 140 CCTV cameras installed at SCB Medical College
Cuttack: The SCB Medical College and Hospital security issue is being resolved by introducing better security arrangements for the doctors and medical students here. A total of 140 CCTV cameras are being installed in various wards in the hospital.
The cameras will be set up in 60 sites in the hospital in various angles. This will not only bring respite to doctors who are often threatened by relatives of patients but also help in bringing down incidents like newborn theft that has become frequent in the Gynaecology and Obstetrics department where the cameras will be installed also.
Uniforms and identity cards for the Asha workers and patient attendants are also being introduced as a security measure,.This is being done after the doctors have called off the four day cease work stir after the patient family’s misbehavior incident, reports Pragativadi news service.
