Obtain 50 percent MBBS seats in pvt medical colleges : CPI (M) to govt

Puducherry: The Puducherry unit of the Communist Party of India (Marxist) urged the government to take immediate steps to obtain 50 percent MBBS seats in the private Medical Colleges functioning. In a resolution adopted at the state committee meeting of the party, it also urged the government to initiate appropriate action against the colleges which refuse to part with 50 percent seats, CPI(M) Secretary R Rajangam said in a statement.

Another resolution urged the government to ensure that the private schools collect the tuition fee fixed by the government and pointed out that many schools are not abiding to this and collecting huge amount as tuition fee.
