New Centre of excellence for laparoscopic surgery at PIMS
Jalandhar: Resident Director of Punjab Institute of Medical Scinces(PIMS) and Dr Kanwaljit Singh and Director Principal Dr Kulbir Kaur recently inaugurated a centre of excellence for laparoscopic surgery. Dr Ravindra Katoch, Subash Goyal and Dr Kulbir Kaur, principal were also present at the inauguration ceremony.
The new centre of excellence will be a part of Department of Surgery Punjab Institute of Medical Sciences (PIMS)
The graduates and postgraduates students will soon be trained under the guidance of Dr Rajneesh Kumar of the department of surgery, who is in charge of minimal access surgery reports Tribune
The centre will soon be able to provide the basic laparoscopy course and advance laparoscopic procedures like hernia, hysterectomy and endosuturing as earlier state patient's have to visit the other hospitals for such procedures.
