NEET Preparation Pressure : Student commits suicide in Hyderabad

Hyderabad: A 18-year-old student allegedly committed suicide by hanging in her hostel room last evening.

The student, Y Aruna, hailing from Revulapalli Village in Gadwel district joined coaching for NEET examination after completing intermediate in a private college at Madhapur.

She took the extreme step by hanging from the ceiling fan when her inmates went for taking snacks. Aruna was immediately rushed to a nearby hospital where the doctors declared her brought dead, police said.

In a suicide note, addressed to her brother studying medicine in Osmania Medical College she stated that it was difficult for her to remember what she studied for more than three days. A case has been registered and an investigation is on, police added.
