    NEET PG 2019: West bengal issues notice announcing initiation of counselling for PG Medical Admissions

    West Bengal: Through a recent notice, the West Bengal University of Health Sciences has announced about the counselling process for PG Medical and Dental admissions under the state quota for those candididates who have cleared NEET PG 2019 and NEET MDS 2019 respectively


    Admission to the West Bengal State Quota/Private Management Quota/NRI quota PG Medical/Dental seats 2019 in the affiliated Institutions of the West Bengal University of Health Sciences (WBUHS) in different Post Graduate Medical/Dental Courses (MD/MS Degree,PG Diploma and MDS) shall be made on the basis of the inter se merit lists of "Status" (Unreserved; Other Backward Class (OBC including OBC A and OBC B); Scheduled Caste (SC); Scheduled Tribe (ST) ond Person with disability (PWD) )among open category, in service category and other service category öf candidates appearing and qualifying in the NEET PG 2019/ NEET MDS 2019 Examination conducted by National Board of Examinations (NBE) and fulfilling the eligibility criteria for appearing in the online counselling for west Bengal State Quota/Private Management Quota/NRI Quota PG medical/Dental seats 2019


    The weightage and /or reservation in aforesaid categories iñay he considered as per post graduate medical education regulation of Medical Coun.cll of India and latest orders of Government of West Bengal in this regard.


    In order to be eligible for admission to any postgraduate course lu 2019 admission session, it shall be necessary for an unreserved candidate to obtain minimum marks at 50* percentile in NEET.PG 2019/NEET MDS 2019 as provided by NBE. However, in respect of candidates belonging to Schedule Caste, Schedule Tribe and Other Backward Classes, the minimum marks shall be at 40* percentile. For benchmark PWD candidates, the minimum marks shall be .at 45'* percentile fòr UR and 40* percentile (or SC/ST/OBC-A/OBC-B candidates.


    Tenure of training periods two complète years for PG Diploma and three complete years for PG Degree from the date of joining in the course.


    Admission to the Post-Graduate Medical/ Dental Degree/ Diploma Courses will not be allowed unless the candidates have got themselves registered either with the West Bengal Medical/Deñtal Council or wiüi the Medical/Dental Council of Candidates registered with other State Medical/ Dental Councils will have to be registered with WBMC/MCI/WBDC/DCI (as applicable) before admission.


    Eligibility criteria for West Bengal State quota seats in PG Medical/Dental 2019:-


    State Government vide its Memo no HF/O/MERT/570/2H-06/14 dated 12,2014 and subsequent vide no. HF/0/MERT/1588/2H-06/14 dated 04.12.2014 and in pursuance of the order of Hon'ble Calcutta High Court vide WP no 32902 of 2015 dated 15.1.2015 defined the eligibility criteria for applying as "Open Category candidates" for State Quota sêats. Those candidates who are enrolled in the NEET PG 2019/NEET MDS 2019 application as either have passed MBBS/BDS from the State of West Bengal respectively ar have stated that permanent residence state 1s West Bengal will only be considered as Open category candidates for State quota seats provided the relevant documents .of the respective candidates .are found to be appropriate during physical verification (See annexure-I for further instructions).


    Any Open category Candidate who has been already pursuing PG Degree or PG Diploma or any other course in any Institution/ college under any University is not eligible for taking part in counselling unless the course training period ends latest by 30.04.2019 and she/he is free from all encumbrances from the execution of indemnity bond by 30.04.2019. The Open Category Candidate after completion of PG Degree or Diploma course must render service In this state for a period as decided by the Dept of Health and Family Welfare, Govt of WB.

    1.On-line enrolment in pre-counselling, please visit https://wbuhs.ac.in13.03.2019 at 12.00 Noon till 17.03.2019 at 11.59 PM
    2.Physical verification of the original documents at the premises of the West Bengal University of Health Sciences — DD 36, Sector - 1, Salt Lake, Kolkata - 700 06415.03.2019 to 19.03.2019 as per slot indicated in the. acknowledgement receipt generated on-line after enrolment
    3.Eligible candidate list and schedule of choice filling of eligible candidates.will be notified later on
