Renotified Diploma Seats will be taken up in Round 2 All India PG Counselling, Says MCC

New Delhi: Through a recent notice on its official website, the Medical Counselling Committee ( MCC ) has informed about the re-inclusion of the PG diploma seats in the PG medical counselling for the academic year 2019-20

Medical Dialogues Team had earlier reported that many Diploma courses which were Denotified for conversion to Degree seats but could not be converted into degree seats by Medical Council of India have been Renotified by the Ministry. This came after the Board of Governors in Supersession of Medical Council of India (BoG MCI) brought to the notice of the Ministry that due to the variety of reasons, some diploma courses which were de-notified could not be converted to degree seats by BoG MCI.

The Ministry noted that as a consequence of non-conversion of diploma seats, there will be depletion of PG seats during the counselling for the current academic year 2019-20. Hence the Ministry re-notified around 547 diploma seats which were not converted into degree seats in respect of the colleges/courses mentioned against each in the Table below for their inclusion in the counselling for the academic year 2019-20

Now the MCC has released a notice stating that the said seats will be taken up in the second round (Round-2) as per the rules and regulations of MCI and Court directions in All India PG Counselling 2019.
