    NEET Counselling 2019: KEA issues notice on MBBS Seat Cancellation after Mop Up Round

    Bengaluru: The MBBS and BDS candidates who intend to cancel their allotted seats after the NEET counselling 2019 mop-up round will have to go to the Director of Medical Education (DME) office in person and submit the cancellation letter.



    The information to this effect was made by a letter written by the DME to Karnataka Examinations Authority (KEA) which clearly states the following:

    As per the consensual agreement, the cancellation of any Medical/ Dental seats has to be done in person at the office of Director of Medical Education, Anand Rao Circle, Bengaluru-560009.


    Hence, candidates are requested to visit our office from 13/ 8/ 2019 between 10.30am to 5.30pm along with a processing fee of Rs. 10,000/- in favor of “Director of Medical Education” payable at Bengaluru with prescribed cancelation form attached to this letter. The candidates after the cancellation have to visit KEA with cancellation order to collect original documents. Kindly disseminate the information to all allotted candidates through website/ SMS.

    1Last date of reporting at the allotted Medical / Dental college.12-08-2019 before 4.00 pm
    Director, Medical Education has informed all the colleges to function on 10-08-2019,11-08-2019 and 12-08-2019 to facilitate the candidates to take admission.
    2Forwarding the list of student in order of merit equaling to ten times the number of vacant seats to the Medical colleges by the Counseling Authority 13-08-2019
    3Last date of joining18th August 2019


    If any seats get canceled/surrendered or become vacant for any reason before mop-up round, such seats will be considered for allotment in the respective category in the first instance. After completion of the seat allotment if any Government reserved seat remains un-allotted after exhausting the last rank, then those seats will be decategorized as per norms and offered to next eligible candidates as per rules.
