    NEET 2019 Round 2 AIQ Counselling: MCC releases List of Eligible NRI Candidates

    NEET 2019 Round 2 AIQ Counselling: MCC releases List of Eligible NRI Candidates

    New Delhi: The Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) has published the list of all eligible candidates, who had applied for conversion of category from Indian to NRI to participate in the All India NEET counselling 2019.

    As per the list, there are a total of 201 NRI candidates eligible for the second round of NEET 2019 Counselling. These candidates have successfully fulfilled the stipulated criteria for conversion and have submitted sufficient documents such as embassy letter, passport copy, sponsor letter etc as asked by the counselling authority.

    Candidates who have been left out/ found not eligible may apply again by uploading the relevant documents in Mop Up Round of UG Counselling 2019.

    A week ago, the MCC had opened with window for those candidates who wish to apply for MBBS courses under the NRI category. For the same, it had asked the concerned candidates to submit relevant documents with the authority.

    Now, accordingly, while releasing the result of candidates whose nationality has been changed, the MCC has published the list of eligible candidates. The notice uploaded on the official website of MCC clearly states:

    It is for the information to all those candidates who had sent their documents in support of their claim of change of nationality from Indian/Other to NRI, that the category of candidates who were found to be eligible as per their documents and the directions/orders of Hon’ble Supreme Court of India in the case (W.P. (C) No.689/2017- Consortium of Deemed universities in Karnataka (CODEUNIK) & Anr. Vs. Union Of India & Ors.) dated 22-08-2017 has been changed to NRI. Such candidates will now be able to see and fill in NRl choices for Round-2 of UG Counselling 2019. Candidates who have been left out/ found not eligible may apply again by uploading the relevant documents in Mop Up Round of UG Counselling 2019.
