    NEET 2019: NTA clarifies Photographs in form without Name and Date are acceptable.

    New Delhi: Bringing major relief to candidates who have gone wrong while uploading their photographs in the NEET 2019 forms, the National Testing Agency (NTA) has clarified that the medical aspirants, who had uploaded their photographs without mentioning particular details in the NEET 2019 application form, need not worry to change it.


    National Testing Agency (NTA) recently informed the photograph uploaded by the candidates without Name and Date and white background are acceptable. The Application form will not be rejected in this case.


    The largest entrance examination for UG medical courses, National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET) is the gateway for admissions to medical (MBBS), dental (BDS), and AYUSH courses in the country. The test will be conducted as per regulations of the Indian Medical Council Act-1956 and the Dentists Act-1948, and as amended from time to time.


    Earlier, the Central Board of Secondary Examination (CBSE) used to conduct NEET, but this year the examination conducting body assigned by the government for NEET is National Testing Agency (NTA).

    NEET 2019 will be conducted on 5th May 2019 (Sunday) from 02:00 p.m to 05:00 p.m. The exam will be conducted in offline mode (pen and paper test).


    The duration of NEET 2019 will be 03 hours from 02:00 p.m. to 05:00 p.m. However, no entry will be allowed after 1.30 p.m.


    Centre allocation is made through the computer with no human intervention.


    The earlier notice uploaded on the official website of NTA regarding the activation of correction facility said, “It has come to notice that many candidates have inadvertently submitted incorrect data in their application form for NEET UG – 2019. In order to ensure that the data of the candidates for NEET UG 2019 is error-free, NTA is providing a one-time correction facility to make the correction in their Online Application Form.”


    The concerned candidates are requested to pay the additional fee if that becomes due while making the correction in gender and category.


    Instructions for filling Online Application Form :


    Download Information Bulletin and Replica of Application Form. Read these carefully to ensure your eligibility.


    Follow the 4 steps given below to Apply Online:
    Step-1: Fill in the Online Application Form and note down the system generated Application No.


    Step-2: Upload scanned images of Candidate’s Photograph (between 10 kb - 200 kb) and Candidate’s Signature
    (between 4 kb - 30kb) in JPG/JPEG format.


    Step-3: Make payment of fee using suitable mode of payment through the bank as per details are given in Chapter – 4, (mode of submission of Application Form and payment of fee) and keep proof of fee paid.


    Step-4: Print at least four printouts of Confirmation Page after successful remittance of fee.


    All the 4 Steps can be done together or at separate times.
