    NEET 2019 Counselling for MBBS, BDS courses: MCC issues Notice for NRI Candidates

    New Delhi: Through a recent notification Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) has informed that the category of eligible candidates, who had applied for conversion of category from Indian to NRI (Non-Resident Indian) to participate in the All India MBBS, BDS counselling 2019; has been changed to NRI.


    There are a total of 240 NRI candidates who are eligible to appear for the counselling session. These candidates can now be able to see and fill in their NRI choices for Round-1 of UG Counselling 2019.at the official website of MCC in order to participate in the counselling.


    The notice uploaded on the official website of MCC clearly states:



    It is for the information to all those candidates who had sent their documents in support of their claim of change of nationality from Indian/Other to NRI, that the category of candidates who were found to be eligible as per their documents and the directions/orders of Hon’ble Supreme Court of India in the case (W.P. (C) No.689/2017- Consortium of Deemed universities in Karnataka (CODEUNIK) & Anr. Vs. Union of India & Ors.) dated 22-08-2017 has been changed to NRI.

    Such candidates will now be able to see and fill in NRI choices for Round-1 of UG Counselling 2019. Candidates who have been left out/ found not eligible may apply again by uploading the relevant documents in Round2 of UG Counselling 2019.
