    NEET 2018: CBSE starts online correction facility for candidates

    The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has activated the correction facility for NEET 2018 applicants. Candidates who wish to make changes in their applications may do so by visiting the official website, cbseneet.nic.in


    The NEET UG entrance test is conducted for candidates looking for admission to MBBS/BDS courses in India in medical/dental colleges run with the approval of the Medical Council of India/ Dental Council of India.


    CBSE had conducted the NEET 2018 on May 6.A total of 13,26,725 candidates had appeared for the exam at 2255 exam centres of which, 5,80,648 are male and 7,46,076 are female candidates and only one transgender applicant. There were 13,23,672 Indian aspirants who appeared for the exam while 530 OCI, 1842 NRI, 621 foreigner and 60 PIO.


    “Several requests have been received by the CBSE for making the corrections in date of birth, category and status of persons with disability”, says the official notification released by CBSE on their website.


    The online correction facility is available from 15/05/2018 to 18/05/2018 (5 PM).Those who wish to make the data corrected may do so by logging into their account.

    Several requests have been received by the CBSE for making the correction in the Date of Birth, Category and Status of Persons with Disability. Candidates were instructed to submit the correct data at the time of submission of application form. Thereafter, an opportunity was given to the candidates to make the correction in their data.


    Candidates applications have been submitted after due verification. On the request of the candidates, the correction facility in the following field is allowed to ensure that no correction will be allowed after declaration of result of NEET (UG) 2018:




    1. Date of Birth

    2. Category of the Candidate

    3. Status of Persons with Disability


    Additional fee need to be paid in case of the correction in category, if applicable. However, no fee will be refunded by the CBSE.


    Correction facility is available from 15/05/2018 to 18/05/2018 (5.00 PM). Candidates who wish to make the above data corrected may do so, by logging into their account. The responsibility of correcting data is solely of the candidates. In no manner, correction will be allowed after declaration of result.
