    NEET 2018: CBSE One Time Correction Opportunity to begin tomorrow

    Bringing a relief to medical aspirants CBSE has announced that one time NEET 2018 Correction Process is scheduled to begin on 15th March 2018. Candidates who have applied for National Eligibility cum Entrance Test UG 2018 will be able to take the 'One Time Correction Opportunity' to make corrections in the data entered in their application forms. Candidates must once again thoroughly go through the NEET UG 2018 Information Bulletin to avoid any mistakes that can lead to rejection or affect the candidate’s position in the merit list.


    Through a recent notice CBSE made it clear that Despite the clear instructions given by the CBSE, it has come to the notice that many candidates have submitted wrong data in their application form of NEET. Accordingly, to ensure that data of the candidates of NEET-UG is 100% correct, CBSE is providing ONE TIME CORRECTION OPPORTUNITY to the candidates in such data which may affect the merit/result as mentioned in the Information Bulletin.


    As per the notice, Correction will be allowed as per following details only in their online application form:




    1. IDENTIFICATION IDENTITY


    (A) WHO CAN ADD

    All the candidates who have filled up application form with IDs other than Aadhaar Card i.e. Passport number, Ration Card Number, Bank Account Number and Aadhaar Enrolment Number will be able to add their Aadhaar Number or the Aadhaar Enrolment Number in the Online Application Form.


    (B) WHO CAN NOT ADD

    The candidates who have already filled up. the application form with Aadhaar Card and the candidates with nationality as Foreigner, OCI's, PTO's and NRI's.


    2. DATE OF BIRTH

    (A) WHO CAN CORRECT

    All candidates who have filled up the form with IDs other than Aadhaar i.e. Passport number, Ration Card Number, Bank Account Number and Aadhaar Enrolment Number will be able to make corrections in their Date of Birth.


    (B) WHO CAN NOT CORRECT

    The candidates who have filled up the application form with Aadhaar Card. These


    candidates can not change their date of birth as their details are similar to Aadhaar.


    3. GENDER


    (A) WHO CAN CORRECT

    All candidates who have filled up the form with other IDs than Aadhaar i.e. Passport number, Ration Card Number, Bank Account Number and Aadhaar Enrolment Numb and will be able to make corrections in their Gender.


    (B) WHO CAN NOT CORRECT The candidates who have filled up the application form with Aadhaar Card. Thes candidates can not change their date of birth as their details are similar to Aadhaar.

    4. STATE CODE OF ELIGIBILITY

    (A) WHO CAN CORRECT

    All candidates can make correction.

    1. The candidates belonging to the state of Jammu & Kashmir may also change the status of Self Declaration submitted by them.

    2. The candidates belonging to the states of Assam, Meghalaya and Jammu & Kashmir will be able to change their state code of eligibility (to a state other than these 03 states) only if they have obtained their Aadhaar Number or Aadhaar Enrolment Number as the exemption from Aadhaar is available only to the candidates of Assam, Meghalaya and Jammu & Kashmir.


    *The candidates may note that the rules which are state specific like Permissible Identity Types, Self Declaration, Medium of Question Paper and Choice of Centres, etc. will be applicable by changing the State of Eligibility and the candidate will have to fill up information in the effected fields afresh very carefully. The candidates are advised to go through the Information Bulletin once again to have a clear understanding of the concerned rules.

    (B) WHO CAN NOT CORRECT

    Not applicable

    CATEGORY

    (A) WHO CAN CORRECT

    All candidates can make correction.

    However, wherever change in category involves higher fee, the candidates will pay the difference of the fee also. Payment of fee will be an online process and the change will take effect only if the difference of fee is paid within the stipulated time by permissible modes.

    (Candidates should fill category only as per central list of Category)

    (B) WHO CAN NOT CORRECT

    Not applicable

    1. DISABILITY STATUS


    (A)WHO CAN CORRECT

    All candidates can make correction.

    However wherever change in Disability status involves higher fee, the candidates will pay the deference of the fee also. Payment of fee will be an online process and the change will take effect only if the difference of pay is paid within the stipulated time by permissible modes.

    (B)WHO CAN NOT CORRECT

    Not applicable

    7. MEDIUM

    (A) WHO CAN CORRECT

    All candidates can make correction.

    However if medium is changed to Regional language, candidate may need to change the Centre City also.

    (B) WHO CAN NOT CORRECT

    Not applicable

    8. EXAMINATION CENTRE
    (A) WHO CAN CORRECT
    All candidates can make correction.

    (B) WHO CAN NOT CORRECT

    Not applicable

    9 QUALIFYING EXAMINATION CODE, AND % OF MARKS OBTAINED IN CLASS 12th

    All candidates can make correction.

    (C) WHO CAN NOT CORRECT

    Not applicable

    10 Father's Name & Mother's Name

    (D) WHO CAN CORRECT

    All candidates can make correction and interchange the name.

    (E) WHO CAN NOT CORRECT

    Not applicable

    For availing the correction facility, candidates may visit website www.cbseneet.nic.in during the schedule fixed for the correction facility. Schedule for correction will be as follows-

    No additional time will be given for payment of fee if applicable.

    Correction in any other data is not allowed as this will not affect the candidature and the merit. Further, candidates are requested to be very careful while making corrections as no second time opportunity will be made available for corrections. After correction, candidates may print correction slip and retain the same for their reference and record. No correspondence thereafter will be entertained by the Board in this regard. Due to correction in category, if additional fee is payable, the same shall be remitted through Debit/Credit Card or Net Banking during the given period only. Parents are expected to read & understand the above information and help their ward in making necessary correction correctly.

    IT IS ONCE AGAIN INFORMED THAT ANOTHER OPPORTUNITY FOR CORRECTION WILL NOT BE GIVEN IN ANY CIRCUMSTANCES, the notice added
