NEET 2017: CBSE announces the Exam Date, Centres; Check out Details
The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has announced the date for the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET) Undergraduate (UG) 2017.
The test will be conducted on May 7 in 103 cities across the nation.
As per the Press release issued by the Central Board of Secondary Education(CBSE) will hold the National Eligibility Cum Entrance Test-UG, 2017 on 07th May, 2017 (Sunday). Against 8,02,594 registered candidates last year in NEET- 2016, 11,35,104 candidates have been registered for NEET-2017. Therefore, there is an increase of 41.42% in the number of registered candidates for NEET-2017 from NEET-2016. This is the highest number of registered candidates for NEET Examination so far.
Looking into the substantial increase in number of registered candidates this year, the Minister of Human Resources and Development, Government of India has desired to increase 23 more new examination cities in the list of 80 existing examination cities. Accordingly, following 23 new cities have been added in NEET-2017:

With the increase of 23 new examination cities, now NEET-2017 will be conducted in 103 cities. With this, NEET will also be having equivalent number of centre cities as in case of JEE (Main) examination. Earlier 80 cities are as follows:-

In 103 cities where the NEET-2017 will be conducted, the candidates can give their options from 24.03.2017 to 27.03.2017 to choose the city of examination. They can logon to NEET website - http://cbseneet.nic.in for revising their option of cities chosen earlier.
Once candidates have successfully given their choice of examination cities, the examination centres in particular city will be allotted based on the total number of candidates opted for the particular city as examination centre for appearing in NEET-2017. To accommodate 11,35,104 candidates in 103 cities, more than 2200 institutions will be made the centres based on the credibility, reliability and infrastructure etc in these centres. These centres will be time tested to ensure smooth conduct of examination.
