CBSE has recently announced that aspirants can download the admit card, that is the hall ticket for NEET-2 on July 08, 2016. The appropriate link to download the admit card will be made available on the official website of CBSE on Friday.

The candidates can only download the admit card by visiting the website. No admit card will be sent by post to the candidates.

"The CBSE will provide the facility of downloading Admit Cards of NEET – II on the Board’s website along with a format for affixing of Postcard size photograph. Candidates are required to download the admit cards from the website and follow the instructions given therein", the CBSE said.

    The admit card details include:

    • The Admit Card will carry the candidate’s roll number and the name

    • Besides, more information on the admit card will include, Father’s Name, Category, Sub-Category, Photograph, Signature, Date of Birth, Language of Question Paper

    • The name and address of examination centre allotted to the candidate will also be displayed on the admit card

"The candidate should carefully examine the Admit Card downloaded by him/her for all the entries made therein", the CBSE said to the media.

Also, candidates are requested no to mutilate the admit card in any way. It also implies that no entry made on the admit card should be changed or tampered with. In other words, candidates are requested to carry/keep their admit cards in good condition, till the admission process to medical/dental college is completed.

The total number of students who have applied for NEET-2 is now coming out to be a staggering 7.5 lakh. Out of which, 70% aspirants are reported to be reappearing for NEET. This is a high percentage considering that these lots of 70% have taken this decision after having surrendered their NEET-1 scores. These aspirants are now seeking medical admission, given a second chance to better their scores. This time they can be more relaxed, as earlier there was a controversy surrounding NEET-1 to make it a single entrance gateway for medical admissions in India. June 25 was the last date of submission for the form for registering for NEET-2. The total number of aspirants registered for NEET-2 is now over 7.5 lakh; out of which 6 lakh are reappearing.

There is reported to be a demand for extending the publishing of answer key for NEET-1 and also, a demand for extension of registering for NEET-2. The demand was made by students, parents, and teachers to extend the registration date from June 25 to June 30. However, CBSE did not honor the demands.
