NBE to conduct NEET-SS on 10th June, 2017, check out the details
The National Eligibility-cum-Entrance Test for entrance to DM/MCh in terms of Section 10 of the Indian Medical Council Act, 1956 as amended in 2016 shall be conducted by the National Board of Examinations.
The examination shall be held at various cities on 10th June 2017. The examination shall be held as a Computer Based Test and shall comprise of 200 Multiple Choice Questions from the MD/MS curriculum followed at medical colleges in India duly prescribed /adopted by Medical Council of India with prior approval of the Ministry of Health & Family Welfare, Government of India.
NEET-SS is a single window entrance examination for entry to DM/MCh/PDCC courses. No other examination either at state level or institutional level entrance examination conducted by any University /medical colleges /institutions shall be valid as per the Indian Medical Council Act, 1956 with effect from 2017 admission session.
Scope of Examination: NEET-SS 2017 shall be a single eligibility cum entrance examination namely ‘National Eligibility-cum-Entrance Test for admission to Super Specialty Courses’ for the academic session 2017 which shall include the following:
AIIMS, New Delhi /PGIMER, Chandigarh/ SRICHITRA, Thiruvanathapuram /NIMHANS, Bengaluru /JIPMER, Puducherry are institutions not covered by NEET-SS.
National Board of Examinations is an autonomous organization established by Government of India in 1982 with prime objective of conducting post graduate examinations on all India basis.
National Board of Examinations also conducted the NEET-PG for MD/MS/PG Diploma admissions in 2013, 2017; NEET MDS 2017 and All India Post Graduate Medical Entrance Examination (AIPGMEE) during the period 2014 – 2016.
