NBE begins registration for 20th FNB, DNB Convocation; Apply NOW
The registration portal for NBE 20th DNB, FNB Convocation has been made available at website natboard.edu.in from 9th August to 9th September 2019.
New Delhi: The National Board of Examinations (NBE) is going to hold its 20th Convocation and awards ceremony in Ahmedabad in October/November 2019 for conferring Diplomate of National Board (DNB) and Fellow of National Board (FNB) qualifications to successful and eligible candidates of June 2018 & December 2018 DNB and FNB examinations.
The date and venue shall be notified at NBE website in due course by the examination authority.
The notification issued on the official website of NBE clearly states that all the candidates of the aforementioned sessions who have been issued the Provisional Pass Certificate by NBE are required to register online for receiving their Degree certificate through the post. The registration portal shall be available at website natboard.edu.in from 9th August to 9th September 2019. A fee of Rs. 2500/- is to be paid at the time of online registration.
Only the candidates eligible for the award of the Gold Medals in their respective speciality/discipline shall be admitted in person at the convocation and awards ceremony. The list of Gold Medalists shall be notified in due course.
NBE at present conducts postgraduate and postdoctoral examinations in approved specialities leading to the award of Diplomate of National Board. The Medical Council of India has laid down standards for postgraduate examinations conducted by various medical colleges and affiliated to concerned universities and other institutions, yet the levels of proficiency and standards of evaluation vary considerably in these institutions.
The Examinations conducted by NBE provide a common standard and mechanism of evaluation of the minimum level of attainment of the knowledge and competencies of medical specialities. Moreover, intra country and international comparisons are facilitated with the availability of common evaluation mechanism.
