According to Dr. Akhileh Kumar Pandey, the aim behind the exercise is to ensure that all information related to fee structure is Known to the student and that there are no uncertainties or surprises in store for children, as it happened in Index Medical College.
There have been complaints galore from the students about colleges charging more fee than decided upon at the time of admission, and the students being unaware of these amounts imposed later.
Student refusal to pay results in they not being allowed to attend classes, threats of admission withdrawal and penalties for non payment on the part of the college Students who gather courage and register complaints are seen to develop cold feet later and the complaint is withdrawn by them.
The colleges hide their affiliation status, , transport, hostel, food, library, sports, college development, and other fees, along with penalty charged for not paying the fees in the stipulated time limit.
The commission is preparing a detailed format in which the colleges will be expected to provide every single detail.
As soon as the student fills the choice of the particular college, the details will be displayed. The students and the parents can then calculate the total amount they will have to pay and if they find it viable, they can lock the seat, reports free Press
