MGM Medical College: Complaint of Fake blindness certificate issued by Ophthalmology Department under investigation

Indore: MGM Medical College, Dean on Tuesday taking suo moto action over an ophthalmology professor's police complaint, ordered the department head to submit details of blindness certificates issued by the department.

Professor, ophthalmology department, Dr. Sanjeev Agrawal had approached DIG Harinarayanachari Mishra on Monday to lodge a complaint against corruption in the department and had spoken to the police regarding fake blindness certificates having been readied and distributed by the hospital doctors reports

College Dean, Dr. Sharad Thora in a written communication to the HoD, Dr. Vijay Bhaisare asked him to produce copies of the blindness certificates issued by the department. "We have asked Dr. Vijay Bhaisare to submit a report about the complaint made by Dr. Sanjeev Agrawal to police and also about the procedure of issuing blindness certificates," said Dr. Thora.

According to Dr. Thora, having been unable to contact Dr. Aggarwal as he was out of town, the decision will have to be kept pending till his return and a discussion with him.on his return.

Meanwhile, the City Superintendent of Police (Central Kotwali) BPS Parihar, has sent letters to hospital administration and also to the HoD to make available to him the documents required.
