Medical Students to be sent to villages under Swasthya Vidya Vahini program

Vijayawada: A ten months program consisting of ten health themes developed during this tenure will take students to villages to spread awareness among people on each of these themes said Chandra Babu Naidu while speaking to students in Vijaya wada on Saturday.

The Chief Minister made this announcement while launching a first of its kind initiative ‘Swasthya Vidya Vahini’, a health education program.

Following are some of the other  highlights of the program:

  • The  program which is aimed at developing a disease-free Andhra Pradesh will involve the help of all medical and nursing students from the State.
  • Under Swasthya Vidya Vahini scheme, students of all the medical, nursing, home science and psychology will be divided in to 446 teams.
  • Students have to prepare a health profile of the village and inform the officials over the reasons for the spread of diseases and remedial measures.
  • Naidu said the students would be awarded marks in the field work which would be treated as practicals.

The Chief Minister said that the health education program would help develop leadership and communication skills in students and at the same time improve  the health infrastructure in the state.

  1. soo meny programmes has conducted by sri nara chandra babu naidu garu but no one is fully successfull.
    so what i am saying is its waste of the time
    students and its the waste peoples money

  2. first of all please develop hospitals in villages ,hope this programmes will be successfulll ,the public in villages whoever says to them they are not going to listen to our words,if we keep on force on them they may do anything,the people targets the hospitals for sick reason there we have to educate 100percent health education to people

    Send the Doctors to their native place of grand father or mother so that they can enjoy their
    profession with support and help.They should select the centres as per their wish,give them some incentives to
    achieve their goals or targets designed by health ministry. should be Implemented all over
    India. Give them preference and priority for post graduation to enhance the interest to serve
    rural health centers.Develope some modules with objectives of Health care and prevention.
