All Nursing, Paramedical, Medical Colleges open and functioning: BHUFS junks rumour
Punjab: Responding to a fake message circulating in social media that Baba Farid University of Health Sciences (BFUHS) has announced the suspension of its services at Nursing, Paramedical, Medical Colleges, the university has issued a clarification.
The university has clarified that in the wake of COVID-19 and the important role of medical colleges and hospitals in talking the same, Teaching and Healthcare services in all the constituent/affiliated colleges/hospitals of BFUHS are still running regularly
"It has come to the notice of University authorities that a fake message on social media is being spread with the Stamp of Registrar, BFUHS that "All the Nursing, Paramedical, Medical Colleges are Set to be Suspended Off from 16th March 2020 up to 31st March 2020", whereas being healthcare service providers. The Department of Medical Education/Health has decided to work as usual till further orders, so that any urgent situation of COVID-19 may be timely tackled in the medical, dental, nursing, physiotherapy and Pharmacy colleges of BFUHS," the notice stated
"Therefore for removal of doubts, it is made clear that Teaching and Healthcare services in all the constituent/affiliated colleges/hospitals of BFUHS are still running regularly and all concerned tire advised not to believe and react upon the messages being viral on social media, Only those information which are available on the university website www.bfuhs.ac.in should be relied and reacted upon," the notice added
"Since it is an imperative duty of health care professionals to be all set to face any urgent situation of COVID-19 (Corona Virus Disease 2019), so in the public interest, it has been decided by the Department of Medical Education/Health that the Teaching as well as Healthcare Services in all the affiliated as well as constituent Medical, Dental, Nursing, Physiotherapy and Pharmacy colleges/Hospitals of Baba Farid University of Health Sciences, Faridkot shall continue to work as usual," another notice by BHUFS stated
