MCC issues Notice for NRI candidates for Mop up Round
New Delhi: Through a recent notification Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) released relevant information for the NRI candidates participating in the Mop up Round, informing them about the various documentation that needs to be sent for their nationality
The notice clearly advices the candidates to send all the documents in a single mail and not to send the mails repeatedly, while detailing what conditions are to be met for classification in the NRI categoryIt is for the information to all the candidates that those who are claiming to be NRI as per the directions/orders of Hon'ble Supreme Court of India in the case (W.P. (C) No.689/2017 Consortium of Deemed universities in Karnataka (CODEUNIK) & Anr. Vs. Union Of India & Ors.) dated 22-08-2017, such candidates should send their Fresh relevant documents in support of their claim of change of nationality from Indian/Other to NRI nri.adgmemcc1@gmail.com, even if they have sent the documents before for earlier rounds of counselling the emails received within the time period starting 05:00 PM of 8th May 2019 (as per server time) will only be considered for conversion of category. Any email received after the stipulated time period will not be entertained. Also, candidates are advised to send all the documents in a single mail and not to send the mails repeatedly.
The notice adds that following conditions are required to be met by the candidates applying for change of their category from Indian/others to NRI.
1. As per the directions of the Hon'ble Supreme Court of India in the case (W.P. (C) Consortium of Deemed universities in Karnataka (CODEUNIK) & Anr. Vs. Union 2017 and principles set out in Anshul Tomar (supra) case.
The list of documents to be sent through e-mail are as follows:-
1) Affidavit of the person who is NRI and the sponsorer.
2) Documents claiming that the sponsorer is an NRI (Passport, Visa of the sponsorer).
3) Relationship of NRI with the candidate as per the court orders of The Hon'ble Supreme Court of India in case W.P.(c) No. 689/2017- Consortium of Deemed Universities in Karnataka (CODEUNIK) & Ans. Vs Union of India & Ors. dated 22-08- 2017.
4) The affidavit from the sponsorer that he/ she will sponsor the entire course fee of the candidate.
5) Embassy Certificate of the Sponsorer candidate.
6) Neet Score Card of the candidate.
