MBBS Counselling in Kerala: Mop Up Counselling to include 4 private medical colleges, CEE invites options
Kerala: Commissioner for Entrance Examinations (CEE), Kerala, has invited options from candidates for the mop-up round, for filling of seats of MBBS/BDS Courses 2018-19. These include 4 private self financing medical colleges in the state as per HC order
Online Option Registration is Mandatory for Mop-up counselling:
Candidates who wish to participate in the Mop-up counselling to be conducted by the Commissioner for Entrance Examinations at Thiruvananthapuram shall have to register online options through the link 'Option Registration for Mop-up' in the website www.cee.kerala.gov.in of Commissioner for Entrance Examinations. Facility for filing
online options will be available in the website www.cee.kerala.gov.in from 01.09.2018 to 03.09.2018, 6 pm. Such candidates will be issued with a 'Mop-up counselling Slip' which can be downloaded from the webpage.
The allotments to MBBS and BDS courses in the Mop-up counselling shall be on the basis of the priority of online
options filed by the candidates and as per the eligibility of the candidates strictly adhering to the guidelines for mop-up counselling. Accordingly, a candidate admitted to MBBS course in a Government Medical College shall not be permitted to file options in respect of any other Government Medical college. Similarly, a candidate admitted to MBBS course in a Self Financing Medical College shall not be permitted to file options in respect of any other Self Financing Medical college and so on. While filing online options, candidates are advised to file options only to the courses/colleges to which they are sure to join and continue studies if allotted.
Candidates are also advised to file options in advance to the courses/colleges of their choice in which fresh vacancies may be created during Mop-up counselling. Candidates should present themselves for the Mop-up counselling with the printout of the list of online options filed and the Mopup counselling Slip. Candidates who do not file online options within the stipulated time shall not be considered for Mop-up counselling.
Note: Candidate who have already registered for Mop-up counselling should also file online options through the website before 6 pm on 03.09.2018.
Important:
1) Candidates are bound to accept the allotment received as per the options filed by them in the Mop-up counselling. Otherwise, such candidates shall not be considered for further processing in the Mop-up counselling.
2) The priority of options filed by the candidates for Mop-up counselling before 6 pm on 03.09.2018 cannot be altered at any stage of the Mop-up counselling. Hence, candidates are advised not to file unnecessary options for Mop-up counselling.
Candidates who get allotment to MBBS or BDS course in Mop-up counselling shall have to join the allotted college then and there itself, after remitting the required fee.
During Mop-up counselling, all the Medical/Dental college authorities in the State shall be present at the venue of the Mop-up counselling for completing the admission procedure.

As per the orders dated: 30.08.2018 in WP(C)Nos. 20996, 19449, 19543 & 19386 of 2018, the Hon'ble High Court of Kerala have permitted to make allotments to MBBS course in the following 4 Private Self Financing Medical Colleges viz, Al-Azhar Medical College & Super Speciality Hospital, Ezhalloor, Thodupuzha, Idukki (150 seats), DM Wayanad Institute of Medical Sciences, Kalpetta, Meppadi P.O., Wayanad (150 seats), P K Das Institute of Medical Sciences, Vaniyamkulam, Ottapalam, Palakkad (150 seats), S R Medical College and Research Centre, Akathumuri, Thiruvananthapuram (100 seats).
The allotments to the above Medical colleges shall also be done in the Mop-up counselling for MBBS/BDS courses scheduled to be held on 4 th & 5th of September 2018 in the Old Auditorium inside Government Medical College Campus, Thiruvananthapuram. Considering the rise in the number of seats to be filled up in the Mop-up counselling, the Government have granted permission to invite online options from students prior to Mop-up counselling in addition to online registration as notified earlier, and to conduct Mop-up counselling based on the online options received.
