The MCC has begun its second round of NEET counselling, and candidates can now submit their choices of subject and lock their seats.

The Medical Council of India (MCC) has begun its second round of counselling today, July 9th, at 10 a.m. The allotment for the MCC’s second round of NEET counselling will be announced on July 12th.

Candidates who have qualified for the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET) 2018 and who have registered to participate in the MCC counselling process can access the second round of counselling at mcc.nic.in.

The results of the first round of MCC counselling were announced on June 22nd and candidates were given until July 3rd to report to the institutions and complete the admission formalities. Candidates whose names appear on the second allotment list have to report to the institute before July 22nd.

The MCC will be conducting two rounds of counselling this year. Any vacant seats after the second round will be transferred to the state quota. The MCC has a quota for 15% of AIQ, deemed, central universities and ESIC and AFMC (MBBS/BDS) seats for students who have qualified for NEET, conducted by Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE).

CBSE had declared the NEET 2018 results on June 4th and 53.85% out of around 13.26 lakh students who had taken the exam qualified to participate in the counselling process. Kalpana Kumari from Bihar topped the NEET 2018 exam with a score of 691 out of 720.
