MBBS, AYUSH Admissions 2019: Maha CET Cell releases Revised Joining Schedule
Mumbai: The Maharashtra State Common Entrance Test Cell (Maha CET Cell) has released the Revised Joining Schedule for MBBS/BDS Second Round and AYUSH Courses First Round.
The notification uploaded on the official website of Maha CET Cell clearly mentions that in Pursuance to reference No.1 the joining of the second selection list for MBBS/BDS was commenced on 31/07/2019 that was stayed on 01/08/2019. As per reference No.2, the joining process has resumed from 02/08/2019. The last date of joining is extended up to 07/08/2019 till 05.00pm for MBBS and BDS candidates
Similarly, the last date of joining for AYUSH (BAMS/BUMS/BHMS) Courses also extended up to 05/08/2019 till 05.00 pm.
All Concerned candidates and institutes should take note of this.
Earlier, Maha CET Cell had released the second selection list for MBBS/BDS courses.
- Candidate should submit all the original documents and pay requisite fees in the selected college within the stipulated time; failing which this selection stands cancel.
- Admitting Institute will verify the documents and ascertain the eligibility of the candidates as per the NEET(UG)-2019 brochure.
Medical Dialogues had reported that in a bonanza to medical aspirants intending to pursue MBBS from Maharashtra based medical colleges, over 970 MBBS seats have been added corresponding to the implementation of Economically Weaker Sections (EWSs) quota by MCI, while for next academic session, 2,000 more MBBS seats will be added.
Approval was given by the Union Ministry of Health and Family Welfare (MoHFW) and the Board of Governors in supersession of Medical Council of India (MCI BoG) to increase the MBBS seats in view the EWS reservation in over 132 medical colleges.
By the MCI and Ministry’s nod, 20 medical colleges from Maharashtra succeeded in raising their MBBS seats by 970 in total.
