    MBBS Admissions to 114 Management Quota seats: TN Health releases vacancy position, Schedule

    Chennai: The Directorate of Medical Education and Selection Committee (TN Health Tamil Nadu) has released the Tentative 2nd phase of counselling schedule for admission to MBBS course 2019 and vacancy position in self-financing colleges (Management Quota).


    Candidates who are vying for admission to MBBS course in Management Quota into Tamil Nadu based medical colleges; can update themselves with the vacancy position in private medical colleges mentioned below along with the tentative counselling schedule.

    There are a total of 114 MBBS seats vacant for Management Quota in private medical colleges in the state.

    Below is the vacancy position in various private medical colleges:

    Note:-


     Re Allotment will be done only for the candidates who joined the course in the previous phase of counseling in stipulated time& date.


     The candidates who attended and opted out when seats were available in the 1st phase of counseling are not eligible for this counselling.


     Candidates seeking Re-allotment should bring original and copy of admission slip/fee receipt/Bonafide Certificate obtained from the Head of the Institution, who took allotment in 1st Phase of counselling .


     Candidates who wish to retain the seat already selected need not attend the counselling.


     Candidates who obtained Re-allotment in this counseling will not be permitted to reclaim the previous status/college after his / her turn is over.


     After the second round of counselling for All India Quota seats, the students who have taken admission in All India Quota seats will not be allowed/permitted to vacate the seats as per the orders of the Hon'ble Supreme court of India in W.P. No 267/2017.


     Bonafide certificates from waitlisted Candidates those who have joined in any course other than MBBS/BDS Course are allowed.


     No individual call letters will be sent.


     Candidates should be present one hour prior to the commencement of counselling along with one of their parents at their own cost.


     Candidate should produce the following original certificate/documents:

    1. NEET scorecard


    2. X std Mark Sheet


    3. HSC/Equivalent Mark Sheet


    4. Community certificate for the candidates who are native of Tamilnadu.


    5. Transfer certificate from the school last studied (or) Bonafide certificate should be produced from where the candidate is undergoing the course at present.


    6. Nativity Certificate along with supporting documents (Ration card/Passport) obtained from Tamilnadu for the candidates who are seeking admission under the linguistic minority category.


    7. Candidates who are eligible to claim religious and linguistic minority seats in Self-Financing Medical / Dental Colleges should produce a study certificate issued by the Head of the Institution last studied – Annexure VIII (a) or a certificate issued by the competent revenue authority of the candidate’s native jurisdiction - Annexure VIII (b).


     Since a number of candidates are being called for counseling, allotment is not guaranteed to everyone.


     The Candidate should produce a demand draft payable at Chennai for Rs. 1000/- drawn in favor of ‘’secretary, selection committee, Chennai - 10.” At the time of counseling as processing fee.


     The candidates already selected and joined the course during the 1st phase of counseling should bring the receipt for registration fee Rs.1,00,000/ -(rupees one lakh only).


     The candidates who are selected at the time of counseling shall pay an amount of Rs.1,00,000/ -(rupees one lakh only) as registration fee only by means of demand draft drawn in favour of “The secretary, selection committee, Kilpauk, Chennai – 10” payable at Chennai at the time of receipt of the allotment order.


     After receipt of the joining report from the deans of the respective colleges, this amount will be transferred to the colleges concerned. This fee is not refundable if the candidate does not join or discontinues the course. The remaining amount of tuition fees should be paid in full at the time of admission in the respective colleges.


     Candidates are informed to view the websites for vacancy position before counselling.


     Candidates shall only opt for the vacancies available at their turn.


     Mobile phones and other communication devices are not allowed in the counseling hall during their turn.


     Tentative vacancy position will be displayed on the official website:- www.tnhealth.org / www.tnmedicalselection.org.


     Since this is the final phase of counselling the candidate should join in the stipulated time, otherwise, they should have to pay the penalty.
