Kerala:MBBS/BDS spot allotments on September 22
THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Candidature cancellations against admissions granted for MBBS/BDS courses in government/government-controlled self-financing/private self-financing medical/dental colleges are open till 5 p.m. on September 20. This can be done by procuring Transfer certificates and other related documents from the concerned college.
A press note by the Commissioner for Entrance Examinations (CEE) said these students looking for cancellations do not have to pay liquidated damages, stipulated in the prospectus. However, those who come in for admission cancellation after 5.30 pm would have to pay a sum of Rs. 10 lacs, as liquidated amount for an MBBS course and Rs.5 lakh for the BDS course. The CEE would also ban latecomers from writing an entrance examination for two years.
On September 22, 10 am onwards spot allotments would be granted for vacant seats in spot allotments for government/government-controlled self-financing/private self-financing medical/dental colleges. The venue for it being the old auditorium of the Medical College Hospital here.
Already admitted students, if granted admission to another course during spot allotments would also have their vacant allotments filled immediately. No change to another government or private self financing medical college would be allowed, if the course remains the same. However, transfer from one course to another or to and from a self-financing college, to a government college for the same course would be allowed.
Aspirants who don't have any prior course admission have to present their TC and original certificates during spot allotments. A no objection certificate has to be produced by those who have an admission for any course or college through an allotment other than the CEE.
Fee to be paid for various categories of medical admissions are as follows:
A newly allotted admission to government medical college- Rs.25,000,
Government Dental College - Rs.23,000,
Self-financing Medical/Dental College- Rs.10,000 in the name of the CEE at the venue itself. The rest to be paid at the college at the time of admission
